Shambler finished speed paint!

Well four and half hours later and here is the finished concept of Shambler, all done in Photoshop with a few of my favorite custom brushes. I started with a simple thumbnail and then blocked out it in value followed by a simple colouring technique. The background is a simple gradient which is then painted quickly with big loose brush strokes to give an abstract background so as not to draw the focus away from the character concept.



I am pleased with the final result and it took alot of work to get to t a design that i was happy with before I did this paint, I have decided to build this chap in 3D next semester and after assesing the amount of work that i need to do in order to do this I may have time for a second character which will be the female human lead......which I am about to paint out!! :)
