Some very early thumbs!

Here are a selection of early thumbnails that i did in Painter, most are simply line but some were an experimentation in using brushes with blending properties to see what i could come up with. I know that these don't look like much but if you are thinking that then you are missing the point, doing thumbnails enables you to empty you mind and find design possibilities that just are not there if you try to draw out you're initial idea straight away. I have found far more interesting designs by doing this, consider it creative system eruption with anything that comes to mind dumped onto the canvas.

I have also done some more decisive ones for one of the monsters within the overall game concept but they are in my sketchbook in fine line ink (my favorite medium due to it's forgiveness, put it quite simply you cant erase it making you work with the lines you make) and require some scanning but I figured I would leave that alone to day.
